At Large with Alex Wong: Cavaliers’ Larry Nance Jr.

Welcome to “At Massive with Alex Wong,” a podcast where by I’ll be sitting down down with athletes, superstars, media personalities and generally interesting men and women to dive over and above the floor and obtain out who these men and women really are.

My favorite NBA tales are ordinarily the kinds that have very little to do with what is taking place on the basketball courtroom. A several several years ago, I study just one of my favorite off-the-courtroom NBA tales. Larry Nance Jr., a member of the Los Angeles Lakers at the time, reconnected with his pen pal Bianca Campbell, who was stationed in Saudi Arabia as a member of the U.S. Military when a 10-yr-old Nance used to create letters about his NBA goals.

Nearly 15 several years later on, Nance invited Campbell to go to the Lakers practice facility and go to a game. I have often required to chat to Nance about this experience and we finally received a probability to do so not long ago.

On this episode, Nance and I chat about pen buddies, being identified with Crohn’s sickness as a teenager and how he manages it day-to-day, his favorite in-game dunks, actively playing with Kobe Bryant in his last time, producing the NBA Finals with LeBron James, and far more.
