The Cleveland Cavaliers will take the floor again this evening for a showdown against Jimmy Butler and the Minnesota Timberwolves as the Wine and Gold search for their first win in the, second, post-LeBron James era.
While the Cavaliers struggled at times in their season-opening loss to the Toronto Raptors, they also showed glimpses of the type of team they would like to become as the season progresses and one of the players who provided certain flashes of the uptempo style of play that Ty Lue has preached about throughout training camp and the team’s preseason schedule was rookie point guard Collin Sexton.
Despite the fact that Sexton struggled from the field in his official NBA debut, he came away from the experience feeling good about himself and the direction this team is headed in and he believes that will be evident to fans who tune in for Friday night’s showdown against the Timberwolves in Minnesota.

As you can see from the video clip above, courtesy of the Cavaliers’ official Twitter account, Sexton believes that all it took was one game for himself and his teammates to become acclimated to playing with one another and that should only help their cause as they move forward with their 82-game regular season schedule.
We’ll find out soon enough whether or not the Cavs can pick up their first victory of the season this evening as the opening tip at the Target Center is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET.
